Accessible Rhode Island was established in 2001 to survey and recognize local businesses that are accessible to persons with disabilities. Since the inception of the program, over 1,200 venues in Rhode Island have been visited and surveyed to determine accessibility.
This site is a resource guide that lists restaurants, museums, cinemas, cultural sites, and more in Rhode Island that have been surveyed according to the guidelines for identifying accessibility, as outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.

Long Business Description Gallery Night Providence is a free, fun-filled introduction to Providence's exciting art scene! On the third Thursday of the month, from March through November, twenty-seven of the city's hot art spots open their doors inviting you to a visual arts party. Accessible Rhode Island has assessed and lists many of the galleries included on Gallery Night so that you can plan your own route. Free parking with several handicapped marked parking spots available at One Regency Plaza, Providence and some galleries have nearby parking. Gallery Night buses do not have lifts and are not accessible at this time but arrangements can be made for groups with their own transportation by calling one week in advance.
