To serve individuals with disabilities who are unable to use regular bus service. RIPTA provides ADA Paratransit Services through the RIde program for seniors and People with Disabilities.

The Council has joint responsibility with the Office of Rehabilitation Services for developing and monitoring Rhode Island's State Plan for Independent Living.
